強調句型

(1). 用It is … that句型來做肯定的強調，這類的句型即是將所希望強調的部份至於it is……that之間

例句：

Frank saw Charles at school yesterday. Frank昨天遇見Charles.

=強調Frank 

It was Frank who saw Charles at school yesterday.

=強調Charles

It was Charles whom Frank saw at school yesterday.

=強調school

It was at school that Frank saw Charles yesterday.

=強調 yesterday

It was yesterday that Frank saw Charles at school.

(2). 重複同一字或片語: very, very; darker and darker

     *It’s very, very mean of you, isn’t it?

     *He repeated the same sentence again and again.

(3). 加強語氣:  副詞: very, quite, extremely, utterly, indeed

               反身代名詞:myself, yourself, himself

               強調否定: not… at all, far from, anything but, in no way

               加強疑問句:表”到底”: on earth, in the world, the hell

    *副詞強調:She has completely recovered from her illness.

    *反身代名詞:I met the friend myself.

    *強勢否定:He can in no way pass the exam.

    *強調疑問詞:Why on earth (in the world) doesn’t he call me?

(4). 倒裝句: 表強調的前置

     (1) His name is Jim. =Jim his name is.

    (2) He was a powerful man. =A powerful man he was! 

    (3) They serve excellent food here. =Excellent food they serve here.

    (4) I refuse to see that woman. =That woman I refuse to see.
