「patience is wearing thin」

耐心快沒了（wearing thin: 越穿越薄，也就是快磨光了）

（法庭上男主角與法官的攻防…）

Judge: Just read the damn statement.

            就唸那該死的聲明就對了

Peter: "I, Peter Appleton. . . . "

            我，Peter Appleton. . .

Judge: Mr. Appleton, the Committee's patience is wearing thin.

            Appleton先生，委員會快沒耐心了

例：

You better tell the truth, because my patience is wearing thin.

你最好說實話，因為我快沒耐心了
