基礎文法-定冠詞的用法
冠詞分為a. an. the三類，冠詞的目的在區別為不特定名詞與特定名詞，其中the可以同時用於單樹與複數：
| 不特定(指一本) | 1).I read a book that is very good. 我在讀一本很好的書 |
| 特定(指特定的一本) | 2).The title of the book is Harry Potter. 這本書的書名是哈利波特 |
| 不特定(指一些書) | 3).I read some books that are writtem in French. 我需要一些用法文寫的書 |
| 特定(指特定的一些書) | 4).The author of the books is Charles. 這些書的作者是Charles. |
| 不特定(指一些文章) | 5).I read some good literature. 我讀一些好的文章 |
| 特定(指一些特定的文章) | 6).The theme of the literature is love and peace. 這文章的主題是愛與和平 |
| 不特定(指一位新的秘書) | 7).Our boss needs to hire a new secretary. 我們的老闆需要雇用一位新秘書 |
| 特定(指一家特定的公司) | 8).The name of the company is ASA. 這家公司的名稱是ASA |
| 特定(指這些特定的問題) | 9).Please answer the questions on this form. 請回答表格上的這些問題 |
冠詞的用途
(1). 用於 '計量' 或表示 '每一'
a half (one half)
an apple a day (one apple per day)
例句： Eliza has an apple a day.(Eliza一天吃一個蘋果)
(2). 用於唯一或指定
The sun went behind some clouds.(太陽是唯一的)
Please close the window.(請把這窗關上)
(3). 用於時間或位置
the morning, the past, the future…
the front, the bottom, the beginning, the end
例句： Elaine will come back in the near future.(Elaine近期將回來)
(4). 用於序數前, 不用於基數前
The First World War, the tenth day
World War II, day ten, Volume Four
例句：The 2nd World War took place in 1938.(二次世界大戰發生在1938年)
(5). 用於世紀或年代, 不用於某一年
in the 1990s, in the 1800s, in the twenty-first century…
in 1981, in 2003…
例句： In 1970s, there were many famous writers.(在1970年代，有很多有名的作者)
(6). 用於最高級
the worst mistake
the most interesting idea
例句：This is the best movie that I have seen before.(這是我看過最棒的電影)
(7). 用於種族或國籍
例句：The Chinese are proud of their ancestors.(中國人很尊重他們的祖先)
(8). 用於被限定的名詞
例句：The rice that I bought today is in the bag.(我昨天買的那些米在袋子裡)
The letter that I gave you yesterday is important.(我昨天給你的信十分重要)
