☆建議式句型:

主詞 + 建議式動詞 + that + 主詞 +(should) +V 原型

(例句)

I suggested that this matter be considered at the next meeting.

我建議這件事要在下一次的會議中被考慮.

說明:這句話的動詞為何是”be”,而不是”is”或”was”呢?

這是因為這句話的寫法原本是:

I suggested that this matter (should) be considered at the next meeting.

其中的should是助動詞,所以後接動詞的原型. 而should在這類的句型中經常被省略, 所以出現了以上的例句.

類似的情況會出現以下幾種的動詞喔:

@ 建議類: suggest(建議)/recommend(推薦)/advise(忠告)/propose(提案)/move(提案)

@ 堅持類: insist(堅持)/ persist(堅持)

@ 要求命令類: demand(命令)/ order(命令)/ urge(力促)/ desire(想要)/ want(想要)/ instruct(指示)/ ask(要求)/ require(要求)/ request(要求)

例句一:

#I advised her that she be patient and wait until next Monday.

我建議她要有耐心的等到下週一

#I advised her that she is patient and waits until next Monday.

例句二:

#The judge instructed the witness that he tell the whole truth.

法官指示目擊者要說實情

#The judge instructed the witness that he tells the whole truth.

例句三:

#I recommend that every student buy this grammar book.

我建議每位學生買這本文法書

#I recommend that every student buys this grammar book.
